The Monz\u00f3n rockers are back. On 23 October Mallazo<\/strong> released “Tocar el cielo”<\/strong>, their new single and the first taste of “Siempre igual”<\/strong>, the album we recorded and mixed at my studio in Ejea de los Caballeros, Spain.<\/p>\n

The song is about breaking the screen loop, about no longer running away from real life and getting back in touch with what actually matters. In the band’s own words: “sometimes, to touch the sky, you first have to see it”<\/em>.<\/p>\n

“Siempre igual”: ten rock songs<\/h2>\n

It’s a straight-ahead rock record, a band that sounds like a band, and we built it in stages: first came “Ya no duele”<\/em> \u2014released in February with a music video by Pablo Peir\u00f3n\u2014 and “Shang\u00e1i”<\/em>, and this summer we tracked and mixed the rest. The mixes are tight and centre-heavy, where the vocal and the drums live, and the master is by Javier Rold\u00f3n (Vacuum Mastering)<\/strong>, who knows the band’s sound inside out.<\/p>\n
